F emblem

The official Finnair logo is the text version of the logo, and it is primarily used. The F emblem is used as an additional symbol.

Correct use

The official version of the F emblem is blue. See Colours for specifications.

Always use master artwork to reproduce the F emblem; do not make your own variations of it. Do not type, colour or shape the F emblem yourself.

You can choose from various versions:

For silk screen printing: PMS Coated or PMS Uncoated
For other printing: CMYK coated, CMYK Uncoated or CMYK Newspaper
For digital applications: RGB

Alternative colour versions

Use the blue F emblem whenever possible. In applications where the blue F emblem would not be clearly visible, use the alternative colour versions to maximise the visibility.

The F emblem has more flexibility than other logo elements. It can be used over colour elements and can be animated when possible. Vertically the F emblem must always be placed in the upper part of the layout.

When using the F emblem on top of coloured backgrounds or images (apart from situations when the emblem only overlaps a smaller colour element), use the reversed (white) version of the emblem.

Prohibited use of the emblem

The original emblem must not be modified in any way, nor is it allowed to add any elements to it, such as colours or photographs.

Alternative colour versions cannot be mixed with other versions. Do not add outlines to the emblem. When using the emblem on coloured backgrounds, use the reversed (white) version.

The Nordic Blue or the Rock Grey F emblem cannot be used on coloured backgrounds or on top of an image. In these cases, use the reversed (white) version.
